چکیده
Using data collected from 4329 students in the 2015 iteration of Trends Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), we explore two mediators for relationship between socioeconomic status (SES) TIMSS-results mathematics among Norwegian fifth graders. First, how students’ motivation self-concept mediate SES test results. Second, by using parent reported resources parents’ attitudes to school tested subjects, examine these may constitute a path through which their children’s family are related achievement. We found that accounted small but statistically significant portion effects on Intrinsic did not any achievement, nor parental account association or

This paper examines the IEA’s Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) data for Greece and more specifically POP2 (8th grade). The paper focuses on the teacher’s educational-teaching practices in the classrooms and analyses these with factor analysis. We also investigate the relationship between teaching practices and student achievement with regression analysis. Educational / ...
متن کاملTIMSS 2011 Student and Teacher Predictors for Mathematics Achievement Explored and Identified via Elastic Net
A substantial body of research has been conducted on variables relating to students' mathematics achievement with TIMSS. However, most studies have employed conventional statistical methods, and have focused on selected few indicators instead of utilizing hundreds of variables TIMSS provides. This study aimed to find a prediction model for students' mathematics achievement using as many TIMSS s...
